I took up photography when my son was just a few months old. After becoming a mother I no longer had the time to sit down and write, but there was plenty time to sling my camera on the back of his pram, push him around until he fell asleep, and then enjoy some time taking photos around Edinburgh.
I am by no means a professional photographer – mainly I take shots of family and friends – but I have a great deal of fun getting out and about with my camera. I always aim to capture the small details and scenes that other people might miss; even in a city with as many famous landmarks as Edinburgh, very few of my shots are standard tourist ones.
You can see all my posts about photography here.
Project 52
In 2012 I am taking part in the 52 Week Project – meaning that I have committed to posting a photo a week. My first post introducing the project is here, and I’ll be keeping track of my weekly entries on this dedicated Project 52 page.
Purchasing Prints
You can see some of my photos on Flickr here, where they are divided into themed collections and sets to make browsing easier.
If you would like to purchase a high resolution copy of any of the images to turn into a print or canvas please contact me.
If you would like to use an image on your blog or non-commercial website I am often happy to provide a low-res copy for free, so again, just drop me a note.
